Suomi-piste in Helsinki

Arriving


 

The Suomi-piste in Helsinki is located in the Pasila office centre at Ratapihantie 7, 00520 Helsinki. Ratapihantie runs on the western side of the building. Access to the main entrance is from the Veturitori square, which is to the north of the building. 

A more accessible way to enter the building is via Aurinkoraitti by using the lift by stairwell B. The address of this entrance is Opastinsilta 12. A raised floor strip leads from Aurinkoraitti to the lift, on the K1 floor from the lift to the door of the Suomi-piste and from there to a tactile map, the service advisor point and to the service room with extended accessibility. If you need the service room with extended accessibility, contact the authority you need.

The underground car park for the customers of the office centre is located at Asemapäällikönkatu 11.  The car park has two accessible parking spaces. The car park also has bicycle stands.  There is an accessible indoor route from the underground car park to the Suomi-piste service point. The distance is approximately 100 metres. There is a ramp connection and automatic doors from the underground car park to Aurinkoraitti and to the information point of the office centre, where you can get a parking permit. Taxis and drop-off/pick up traffic may stop in the underground car park, but need to take into consideration the other users of the car park.

When arriving from Pasila station, you can reach the Suomi-piste by walking along the left side of the pedestrian bridge all the way to the office building and take the stairs or lift down to the entrance. There is a route from the bus stops on Ratapihantie directly through Veturitori to the entrance of the Suomi-piste. All commuter and long-distance trains stop at Pasila railway station. Trams stop on the Pasila bridge. The nearest bus stops are the Pasilansilta stop and the Ratapihantie stop. All public transport stops are located within a radius of about 200 metres from the Suomi-piste. 

The shared outdoor returnbox of the authorities operating at the Pasila office centre is located next to the Veturitori entrance, to the left of the doors. The marriage ceremony premises are not located at the Suomi-piste. To get to the marriage ceremony premises, follow the instructions you have received from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency.

The conference centre is not located in connection with the Suomi-piste. When coming to the conference centre facilities, follow the instructions you received from the organiser of the meeting

Indoor facilities

When you enter the building via the Veturitori entrance, you will first enter a vestibule, which is about 10 metres long. In the vestibule, you walk down a few stairs. There is also a ramp to the left of these stairs. At the end of the vestibule, there is a door leading to the Suomi-piste. At both the outside and the inside doors, the door on the right opens automatically when you bring your hand close to the button on the right side of the door. 

From the vestibule, you arrive directly at the C lobby of the customer service area of the Suomi-piste. The C lobby opens both to the right and to the left. In front of the inner door, there is a level area from where you descend by walking approximately 1.5 metres straight on from the door and down a few stairs, or by turning left immediately from the door and going down the ramp. There is a tactile map of the Suomi-piste at the bottom of the ramp and the stairs, between them.
 
There are two tactile maps at the Suomi-piste in Helsinki, and raised floor strips guiding the way. A raised floor strip leads both to the right and to the left from the Veturitori entrance. When walking to the right, the floor strips lead to the service room with extended accessibility in the corner of the C lobby and to the toilets near it. The toilet on the left is an accessible toilet. When walking to the left from the Veturitori entrance, the raised floor strips lead to the service advisor pointin the A lobby. Before theservice advisor point, the floor strip branches to the right, leading first to another tactile map, then to toilets and finally to the lift with access to Opastinsilta and Aurinkoraitti. The coloured line on the floor leads to the services of International House Helsinki. 
 
When looking from the stairs at the Veturitori entrance, the queue ticket machines and the service advisor points  are located approximately three metres away directly in front of you. The C service rooms are located along the wall behind the service advisors and at the right end of the space. When looking from the stairs, there are customer computers immediately on the right. After the computers, there is a forms point on the right. Another forms point is located immediately behind the service advisors. 

When looking from the entrance, there are authority-specific return boxes and a meeting pod for the use of customers on the left, at the lower end of the ramp, or when looking from the lower end of the ramp, straight ahead a couple of metres away. It is possible to have confidential telephone conversations in the meeting pod, for example. Right behind the pod, there is a short corridor to the left, ending with service rooms C1-C3, which are located slightly separately from the C lobby.

When looking from the Veturitori entrance, the A lobby is located on the left, approximately 12 metres away. The A lobby and the service advisors located there can be found by following the raised floor strips. When looking from the service advisor point, the A lobby opens straight ahead. The A service rooms are located on its right side. A narrow corridor starts from the left side of the service advisor point, and the B service rooms are located along the left wall of the corridor. Customer computers are located by the wall on the left in the A lobby, approximately three metres from the service advisor point. When looking from the service advisor  point, there is a forms point at one o’clock about six metres away in the middle of the A lobby.

When you come to the Suomi-piste via Opastinsilta and Aurinkoraitti, you will arrive on the K1 floor by lift. A raised floor strip leads from the lift lobby to the left to the door of the Suomi-piste. The door on the left opens automatically when the Suomi-piste point is open. Immediately after the doors, there is a recess with three toilets on the left. The one furthest on the right is an accessible toilet. When looking from the door of the Suomi-piste, about 15 metres away, there is a crossing of the raised floor strips, where the strip turning to the left leads towards the C lobby, the Veturitori entrance and the service room with extended accessibility. The strip turning to the right leads to the service advisor point a few metres away, next to which is there is a queue ticket machine.
